Please be advised the Type EA 189 engine built into your vehicle with the licence plate number you submitted, is affected by software that causes discrepancies in the values for oxides of nitrogen (NOx) during dynamometer runs. Your car is safe from a technical standpoint and roadworthy.
Volkswagen Group Ireland Limited has received approval and released technical measures for over 38k affected vehicles. Our intention is to release technical measures for all remaining vehicles with an outstanding EA189 service action during November and December 2016. Implementation of these technical measures will, however continue into 2017.
Once the specific technical measure for your vehicle is released, we will write to you directly with details of how to book your vehicle in for this service action.
